Dubai catchment and growth: homes due around your pin
The homes finishing around a location over the next few years shape who will live there and what they will need. Pick a point and the tool sets out the units the Land Department has scheduled to complete within 1 km and 2 km of it, year by year, beside the residents already living in the community.
- Units scheduled to complete within 1 km and 2 km of your pin, each year from the rest of 2026 to 2030 and after.
- Units completed nearby in recent years, for scale, and units whose scheduled date has passed.
- Residents and residents per km² for the Dubai Municipality community that holds the pin.

Guide
How to read catchment and growth
The headline total
The sentence at the top of the panel adds up the units scheduled within 2 km of the pin from the rest of 2026 to the end of the year you choose, and how many of them fall within 1 km.
The bars
Light bars are within 1 km, gold bars within 2 km. Years after the one you chose are faded. The hatched pair on the right is units whose scheduled date has passed in projects still active on the register.
The table
The table under the chart carries the same figures, and adds the units completed within 1 km and 2 km over recent years, so you can set the pipeline against what has already been handed over.
The community
Residents, residents per km² and the units due across the whole community come from the Dubai Municipality community that holds the pin. They are marked community-level.

Completion dates move
A scheduled completion date is a filing with the Land Department. Projects are re-dated, so the units in any year can shift. Cancelled projects are left out.
Every unit type counts
Units are every unit type the register credits a project with, which in mixed schemes includes offices, shops and hotel rooms as well as homes.

Questions
Catchment and growth questions
What does catchment and growth show?
For any point you pick in Dubai, it shows the units scheduled on the Dubai Land Department project register to complete within 1 km and 2 km of it, year by year from the rest of 2026 to 2030 and after, read 18 Oct 2026. It adds the units completed nearby in recent years for scale, and the residents of the Dubai Municipality community that holds the pin.
Is the distance measured from my pin or from a block?
From your pin. The units due and the units completed are measured in a straight line from the exact point you chose. Residents and residents per km² are published only for the whole community, so they are marked community-level and are the same for every pin inside it.
What is the difference between "each year" and "running total"?
"Each year" shows the units scheduled to complete in each year on its own. "Running total" adds them up from the rest of 2026, so the bar for a year shows everything scheduled by the end of that year. The year buttons set the total quoted at the top of the panel.
What does "scheduled date passed" mean?
These are units in projects that are still active on the register but whose scheduled completion date is already behind us. They are shown separately because the register has not yet recorded them as completed.
Why is a year blank for some locations?
A figure that would rest on fewer than 2 projects is left blank, so that no single project's figures can be read off the page. Sums are rounded to two significant figures, which is why the tool says "about".
